Deciding to work with a psychologist or psychotherapist is a significant and sometimes difficult step. You should be proud of considering positive changes in your life. Since therapy demands commitment, time, money, and energy it is important to choose a therapist that is right for you.

While the internet has made it easier for anyone to find a therapist, it has also created new difficulties. How to choose? Many people search websites without always understanding the differences between therapists or their varied approaches. To add to the complexity some therapist's write what they expect you will want to hear, this can be misleading. I have tried to avoid this by describing the work and answering some of the more common questions that I receive.

If you have questions about therapy or seeing a psychologist that are not addressed by this site, please ask and I will do my best to answer. I may post your question and the answer back to this site so that others interested in these answers might also benefit. I unfortunately can't provide personal advice or therapy via email.

Are you currently looking for a Psychologist in Cape Town?

If you are looking for a psychologist or therapist in Kenilworth in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, please call me during office hours to make an appointment. I always begin with an assessment, so we can take some time to think about what will be best for you. If I am unable to help I will do my best to direct you to someone who can.

I see adults and older adolescents for in-depth individual and group psychotherapy. These approaches aim for the lasting psychological growth that can only be achieved through an open and honest process of self-reflection with another committed human being.
